April 2002
In April 2002 we got busy - for a while anyway. Here are various pictures of home, work and our latest acquisition, a Spa Pool.
At the beginning of the month we took a day out and visited london. We had a trip down the Thames to visit Greenwich. Greenwich and London are well documented on the web but here's a couple of pics anyway.

Following from that I appear to have taken a few odd shots with the camera! Until I can find somewhere else for them, here's a picture of our cats (Narla and Polly) and pictures taken from my office looking west from the City of London. Of interest are St Pauls Cathedral and the London Eye. The roof structure at the bottom is the top of Liverpool Street Station.

Garden Project Part 1 - The Spa Pool Well here's the big project (for us anyway). We ordered a Spa Pool and then realised we had nowhere to put it! Rapid acquisition of materials followed by a bit of arm twisting and hard labour resulted in us just meeting our deadline (the delivery date).
Firstly take one messy back garden and remove a fence panel to provide good access.
Secondly, clear the ground and start to level (cat optional).
Thirdly, Stop to take photo's!
Car Park! Hole Peter, Simon and Andy Load Testing
The next stage was to acquire some second hand railway sleepers, two tonnes of sand and a number of old paving slabs.
The final stage was to call in a few favours. Much thanks must go to the following who laboured hard for the paltry price of a few cans of lager and a slice of pizza!

The most sincerest of apologies to Andy for nearly setting fire to him later that day . . . but that's another story.

The final pieces of this stage of the project were -
Add furniture, sit back, relax and drink beer!
A few chairs and a parasol A few chairs and a parasol and BEER! Anyone for pass the parcel?
A couple of days later and two gentlemen turned up with a big box and a request for rather a lot of water.
After a few hours and a bit of unwrapping all was well and we just had to sit back and wait for a day for the water to heat up. It's just a shame about the rest of the back garden. Still, I'm sure we will get around to that in another four years . . .

For those that are interested, the pool comes from Spaform UK. A Portsmouth based company that provides first class service. One of the main agents for this company is Aegean Spa's. I am happy to recommend both of these companies. They are very professional and very helpful.
